- Made for boiling water. Heavy cast iron heats evenly and holds heat well. Heat your water in this kettle, then pour it over your tea in a teapot or cup.
- Try it risk-free. Free tracked shipping, a free bamboo tea scoop, and a 30-day money-back guarantee.
Every piece is handmade, so this kettle is as much a sculpture as it is a tool. The textured bark finish, gnarled spout and branch handle make it a striking centerpiece on a stove or tea table, and a memorable gift for any tea lover.

How to use
This kettle is for boiling water only, not for steeping tea leaves inside it. Before first use, rinse with hot water, then boil a full kettle of water and discard it. Repeat 2–3 times. Heat on low to medium; cast iron holds heat well and doesn't need high heat.
Care
- Hand wash with warm water only; no soap or dishwasher.
- Empty and dry completely after each use, ideally while still warm. Don't leave water sitting inside, as cast iron can rust.
- Never heat the kettle empty.
- The handle and lid get hot during use; use a cloth or mitt.
Shipping
Free tracked shipping within the US. Each kettle is made to order: it usually ships in about 5–8 business days and arrives about 2–3 weeks after you order. If it arrives damaged, send us a photo within 7 days of delivery and we'll replace it or refund you.
Because each kettle is handmade, the texture, finish and details vary slightly from piece to piece and from the photos.

Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I put my teapot on the stove?
It depends on the piece. Our Cast Iron Stovetop Tea Kettle is made for induction, gas, electric ceramic and open flame. Our cast iron and glass teapots are for brewing: heat your water in a kettle, then pour it into the teapot. Check the “Works on” line in the Material & Craftsmanship details above for your piece.
Will it rust?
Cast iron can rust if water is left sitting inside. Rinse with warm water after each use (no soap or dishwasher), empty it completely and let it dry, ideally while still warm. Glass teapots won't rust; just rinse and dry, and avoid sudden temperature changes.
How many cups does it hold?
Each listing shows its capacity in the details above. As a guide, a 17 oz (500ml) teapot pours about 2 cups, a 30 oz (0.9 L) teapot about 3–4 cups, and a 40 oz (1.2 L) teapot about 5.
Can I use loose-leaf tea or tea bags?
Yes, either works. Add your tea, pour in hot water and steep to taste.
What should I do before using it for the first time?
Rinse it with hot water. For the stovetop kettle, also boil a full kettle of water and discard it, 2–3 times.
